My 4 yr old plecos are loosing their pigment - includes body and fins. The color change in the fins is confined to the forward edge. Is this normal aging or a disease?

Some species do go through a color change as they mature. We'd need to know what species they are to say whether it's normal

I think it is normal! Because my 3 year old plecos have the same situation. They losing there color and fins to.
